LUNCHTIME CLASSES TUESDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS:

BEGINNNERS-1

Reviewed alphabet and learned to exchange email addresses. pp 14-16 in the book.

Homework: Listen to a Spanish-language radio station for an entire day, and listen for numbers, letters, and email/web addresses in Spanish. Some stations are 101, 106.5, 107.9, all FM stations.


BEGINNERS-2

pp 13-14 in the book. Vocabulary on p 21

Homework: study pp 13-14, and pp 17 and 20.

INTERMEDIATE-1

pp 19 and 20 in the book. p 20 was a speaking activity in class.

Homework: write a few sentences based on the "questionnaire" results on p 20. If you weren't in class, you won't be able to do this homework, but don't worry about this.

INTERMEDIATE-2/ADVANCED

Reviewed all past tenses studied so far. pp 1-5 in the Advanced book. Practiced "collective storytelling" to practice these past narrative tenses.

Homework: no homework.

LUNCHTIME CLASSES THURSDAYS:

BEGINNERS-1

Introduction of students, teacher, class content/structure. Did top half of p 3 in the book — 5 sentences to talk about yourself.

Homework: Write a short, 5-sentence paragraph about yourself (similar to top half of p 3 in the book).

BEGINNERS-2

LOTS of conversation for introducing yourself. pp 2-3 in the book.

Homework: Write a 1-page extended dialog between two people meeting for the first time (similar to p 2 in the book).

AFTER-WORK CLASSES

BEGINNERS-1

Reviewed vocabulary for family. Reviewed 3rd person singular. Did grammar exercises. Vocabulary (adjectives for descriptions). Read a text! pp23-33 in the book.

Homework: do reading comprehension exercises (you may need a dictionary to help), on pp 34-37.

BEGINNERS-2

pp 21 - 28 in the book (skipping p 24.)

Homework: learn vocab on your own on pp 31, 33, 34, 35
