Monday and Friday
Beginners - 1 BB
Reviewed Usted form (p 5). Did verb charts on pp 27-28. Learned names for different rooms of the house:
la sala - the living room
el comedor - the dining room
la cocina - the kitchen
el bano - (with squiggly mark over the "n") - the bathroom
el cuarto, la recamara, la alcova, la habitacion, el dormitorio - all different ways of saying "bedroom"
el cuarto - also means "the room" (any room of the house)
Homework: Study new vocabulary. Study verb chart on p 28.
Tuesday
Beginners - 2
Did p 9 in the book (top and bottom half - Nosotros and Ustedes forms). Learned Ellos/Ellas form (p 11, top and bottom half). Practiced these.
Homework: Write a dialog between two people each speaking about his/her friends (plural). Dialogs should include question and answer forms on p 12.
Intermediate - 1
Reviewed irregular present verbs and regular present verbs. Pp 9-12. Read p 14 text.
Practiced speaking about our daily routines, using the verbs on the top half of p 13.
Homework: (if you haven't done it) Write a page about your typical day. Do reading comprehension exercises on pp 14-15, if you didn't do them in class.
Wednesday
Beginners - 1
Reviewed questions for asking someone else about themselves (bottom half of p 3).
Reviewed #s 11-20
Learned #s 20-100.
Learned greetings (p 11-13).
Learned alphabet and practiced spelling your name (pp 14-15)
Homework: Write a few short dialogs to practice greetings, similar to dialogs on pp 11-13. Mental Homework — be mindful of numbers and letters in your life.
Wednesday and Thursday
Beginners-1 HR
Reviewed 5 sentences for speaking about ourselves: p 3 (top half). Learned Jobs vocabulary on p. 7. Learned and reviewed questions for asking and answering about ourselves (bottom half of p 3).
Learned #s 11- 20.
Homework: Write an interview (10-line, Q&A dialog) with a celebrity. (Should look like the questions and answers on p 3 — ie, Como te llamas? Me llamo Brad Pitt. De donde eres? etc...)
Friday
Other Levels BB
Advanced students: practiced the future tense, using the Advanced book
Beginners-2 students: practice the verb "to go" ("ir") and all questions that go with that.
